The Repsol Moto2 rider will not participate in the tests that will take place at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo de Cheste next week. Marc Márquez will continue with his recuperation after the operation he had to correct the problems he had with his -eye in Barcelona last January. Although his recovery is going well last year`s runner-up in Moto2 prefers not to take any risks for the time being
Márquez had a successful operation on his right-eye on16th January at the Hospital Clínico de Barcelona. The Spanish rider picked up the injury during free practice before the Malaysian GP and it prevented him from fighting to win the world title in the last race of the 2011 season held in Valencia.
The Repsol rider had been recovering his sight gradually over the last few months, but without reaching the optimum level for a rider at his professional level and so after consulting some specialists he decided to have a minor operation.
Marc Márquez is at home making good progress with his recovery and he hopes to be back racing soon, although he has decided not to take the risk of going to next week`s first pre-season tests held at the Ricardo Tormo track. Nevertheless he is eager to get back on his bike and start preparing the 2012 season where his main challenge will be to carry on racing at the high level that he showed in 2011 and to fight to win the world title in Moto2.
